Mission Statement |
| Practical
Action Southern Africa is an international technology development
organisation with its head offices in the United Kingdom.
The organisation was founded in 1965 and has offices in Southern
Africa, East Africa, Sudan, Latin America, Bangladesh, Nepal
and South Asia.
The Practical
Action Southern Africa office based in Harare, covers work
in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi
Since
the establishment of Practical Action in Zimbabwe, in 1989,
the organisation has built a reputation in long term development
and has demonstrated convincingly how technology can assist
in alleviating poverty.
The organisation
works in partnership with communities and other development
institutions and in all our work, we respect diversity and
show concern for future generations. We work with communities
helping then choose and use appropriate technologies to improve
their lives for today and tomorrow.
