  • International Federation for Human Rights
    The aim of the FIDH is to obtain effective improvements in the protection of victims, the prevention of Human Rights abuse and the prosecution of those responsible. FIDH was set up in 1922. It is now a federation of 116 Human Rights organisations in nearly 100 countries. It co-ordinates and supports their activities and provides them with a voice at the international level.
  • International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims
    The International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRCT) is an independent, international health professional organization, which promotes and supports the rehabilitation of torture victims and works for the prevention of torture worldwide.

    Founded in 1988, Medair is an non-governmental organisation (NGO) independent of any political, economic, social or religious authority. Its international headquarters are based in Switzerland. Its mission is exclusively humanitarian and it accomplishes its work in a spirit of dedication and solidarity, inspired by its Christian values. It does not proselytise. Medair's objectives are to respond to suffering victims in war and disaster situations (especially those which have been forgotten or neglected) through various kinds of emergency and rehabilitative projects.

    The APC Africa ICT Policy Monitor's primary goal project is to enable the consideration of civil society needs in ICT policy development. The ultimate aim being that governments and policy makers recognise that access to and the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) is a basic human right.
  • Development Gateway
    The Development Gateway Foundation is an enabler of development. We help improve people’s lives in developing countries by building partnerships and information systems that provide access to knowledge for development. The Development Gateway is an independent not-for-profit organization. It was conceived by World Bank President James Wolfensohn and initially developed in the World Bank. Operations began in July 2001.

  • Kindersite
    The mission of the Kindersite Children's Internet Research Tool is twofold:
    1. To offer early learners, from the age of 2 years, a safe and engaging environment whereby they can find and use appropriate content on the Internet, in the form of games, stories and songs, as an alternative choice of entertainment that may have educational value.
    2. To offer academic educational researchers a tool that can measure and correlate data on children's use of content on the site, according to their research criteria. The project will incorporate a mechanism whereby the research can be followed-up offline.

SchoolNet Africa works mainly with learners, teachers, policymakers and practitioners through country-based schoolnet organisations across Africa.
  • Technological Educational and Scientific Development for Africa (TES-DA)
    Our main aim is to develop and provide all encompassing but efficient and feasible scientific, educational and technological solutions to benefit occupants living in severe poverty within African countries in an attempt to promote and create sustainable economic development within such areas and self sufficiency of individuals, enhancing their own general living conditions and standards.
